Gritting his teeth he scrambled to his feet and tried to compose himself. He took some quick, deep breaths and swallowed, trying to keep his voice steady when he spoke next. "You're right. I'll go and shower and I promise I'll help you all day to try to make up for it. I'll bring you whatever you want or help with papers or... anything."
