For
highpriestnarim
Aria sat in the window seat in the library and watched through the diamond patterned glass for any sign of the car. He'd been there all morning, fidgeting impatiently, anxiously waiting for his husband's return. Narim had been away on business for months and Aria had missed him terribly.

Aria got out of bed carefully and crossed the room to the adjoining bathroom to fetch some tissue and wipe his face and wash the worst out of his hair in the basin. Then he went back to bed and listened to his husband's soft breathing for a while, thinking about how happy he was to have him back, before he eventually fell asleep himself.

He looked to the empty side of the bed, then to the clock, and he felt his heart skip a beat in fear.
He grabbed his robe and shrugged it on. He wasn't sure whether it would be worse to face Narim without getting dressed, or if it would be worse to keep him waiting longer. He quickly decided that he was late enough and hurried to his office in just his robe.

"I'm sorry I over slept."
Narim seemed calm enough, Aria had high hopes that he'd be in a better mood and he'd get away with it this time. He even gave him a sheepish smile.

"I'm sorry, Narim, it won't happen again, I promise. I've been really lazy, I'm so sorry, I didn't realise the time. You should have woken me..."

He started to panic. He was out of practice handling Narim and he would have to remember quickly or he'd be paying for it until he did. He was saying the wrong things in the wrong ways and bringing it on himself. He didn't trust himself to say anything else so he shut up and glanced at Narim apologetically before turning his gaze to the floor so he didn't have to meet his dark, angry eyes.

"I'm sorry! I'm sorry!" he repeated, desperately. "I'm sorry... please Narim... I'm sorry...!"
